Aquatics
Aquatics is divided into three major areas, with appropriate Water safety & rescues being incorporated into all three areas.
1. Water familiarisation
- Building confidence in and around water, basic movement in water, floating on front and back, development of basic breathing technique, development of flutter kick, development of basic freestyle & backstroke arm technique and deep water familiarisation.
2. Stroke Development
- Mastery of basic Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Survival Backstroke, Sidestroke & Butterfly technques. Development of race diving ability. Out of water rescues, treading water and basic water safety knowledge and awareness are also covered.
3. Race techniques & conditioning

Emphasis on improving stroke efficiency, developing endurance and development of race strategies and techniques for improved performance. Advanced survival sequences are also covered.
